Tommy Graven & Band

“Mesmerizing, transcendent, stirring …” – the music of Tommy Graven captures the sound, spirit, and soul of the natural world around us. A 20-year multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Tommy was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where he honed his skills through busking around town, regional touring, and private events. The winner of a Global Music Award and “Native American Flutist of the Year” at the NASFA Awards, Tommy is considered by many to be an up-and-coming artist to watch in the Native American-style Flute genre. A recent resident of Ashland, Oregon, Graven spends his time teaching both flute and guitar when not performing area shows and regional festivals.

To witness a Tommy Graven composition is to feel the wind dance across your skin, smell the pines overhead, taste the rain, and breathe in the solace only a rejuvenating Pacific Norwest storm can conjure. With songs like “Ashland” and “Thunder Rolling Down the Mountain,” prepare yourself for an intensely moving, deeply connective experience.

Together with his accompanists, Tommy weaves stories of his culture, his life, and his gratitude, to a mesmerizing collection of acoustic melodies.
“Tommy is a Master flute player – a king of musical melodies and rhythm. Tommy has an ear for all musical sounds. He is amazing at improv and guitar playing. Tommy is special, unique, and exceptional.” – Cana Cludhmor Harp

“His music is heartfelt, original, storytelling, and just amazing! Tommy is a genuine kind, loving, human being! You will love his music and performance!” – Terry Filer, ‘Three Feathers Flute Circle”

Rushingwind & Mucklow

International Two-Time Native American Music Award (NAMMY) & Multi-Award-Winning Native Flute Musician, Steven Rushingwind-Ruiz, (Calhilla/Opata/Mexican heritage) has been playing Native Flute for over 16 years. His music is defined as Native American, World Beat and New Age.
Together, Steven Rushingwind and Michael Mucklow form the duo, ‘Rushingwind and Mucklow’, (Spirit Wind Recording Artists).
The duo have won, and been nominated for, numerous awards internationally. Steven was nominated for ‘Best Indigenous Entertainer of the Year’ at the 2015 ‘Indigenous Music Awards’ and won ‘Best New Age Recording’ for ‘Rushingwind & Mucklow’s’ album ‘Bridge’ at the ‘15th Annual Native American Music Awards’, 2014.
The ‘Rushingwind and Mucklow’ album, ‘Stronghorse’ was a first-round Grammy consideration for 2015. These are just a few of the many, varied, awards that the ‘Rushingwind & Mucklow’ team have earned over the past 2 decades.

Michael Mucklow, (https://michaelmucklow.com)
In 2006, at age 48, I released my first album, “Clearly”, as a solo artist. I remember thinking at the time this was all I needed to record; I had “said” what I wanted with my music. But this first recording just opened the door for many more compositions to come my way … I am thankful there are people all over the world who enjoy what I compose and record. I am a Minstrel, one who creates an atmosphere in which you can experience peace, calm healing…the kiss of the Creator.” – Michael Mucklow

Geri Littlejohn

In addition to being one of the few women crafting flutes, is that rare combination of healing sound practitioner, performer and maker.
“When I perform, I open up sacred space. I play very simply. The flute-maker side of me allows the flutes themselves to sing and let whatever wants to be expressed at that moment be expressed while speaking directly to the hearts of the people listening. My first flute teacher was Hawk and he always said, ‘If you couldn’t sing, the flute is your other voice.’ Hawk would also say, ‘Keep ego out of the way and become a hollow bone.” – Geri Littlejohn
